Cambium was contracted by the Town of Gravenhurst to develop an Age Friendly Active Transportation Plan. The goal was to craft an action plan that would identify opportunities to make the community more walking and cycling friendly.
What a fun experience the Cambium Team had participation in the Alzheimer's Pulling for Dementia Fire Truck Pull! We did great for our first time pulling with a time of 17.18 seconds. We had a great time and are proud to have raise funds to support a local charity. The event raises funds for this organization’s supportive services at no charge to families and individuals affected by Alzheimer disease and related dementias in our region.
This is one of Cambium’s more interesting projects that required extra care from our site assessment and biology professionals, as well as the subcontractors, to ensure the protection of the sensitive wetland environment while the machine was removed. Cambium was responsible for all project management aspects, including pre- and post-removal sampling, coordination, and permitting.
Cambium is working on an active transportation project with the Town of Gravenhurst. Above is an introductory video created by Rob Voigt, Senior Project Manager of Cambium’s Community Development Services. The video can be seen on the town’s website and social media page to encourage residents to take part and have an active voice in the development of the project.
