Under Ontario’s current legislation in order to dewater areas (such as construction sites, mine shafts, wells etc.) a Permit to Take Water (PTTW) is required if the amount of pumped water is over 50,000L in a 24 hour period. Cambium’s experienced engineers can conduct field investigations to assess soil properties and groundwater levels and the need for dewatering (this can be done in advance or during ongoing construction). If dewatering is necessary at a site, our hydrogeologist will prepare the Permit to Take Water application and supporting reports on behalf of the client and provide a dewatering plan for construction.
Cambium’s staff has substantial experience in the dewatering process consulting and would be happy to create a dewatering plan for construction including all necessary permits and design work. If you are unsure if you require dewatering or might require it in the future, please give us a call and our professional staff will be happy to assist you in determining next steps.
